Dalam seminar ini, kami mengulas bagaimana FexQMS, Sistem QC dan SPC secara On-line dapat digunakan untuk menghindari dan menangani masalah Cost of Poor Quality seperti scrapping, sortir, rework dan keluhan pelangan dengan memprediksi potensi kegagalan dalam proses produksi yang dapat menyebabkan kerusakan (defect).
PT Kawan Lama Sejahtera invites Fexsoft as one of the speakers in this seminar to discuss about how to perform preventive quality control using our Online QC and SPC Software, FexQMS. The participant also learn how to know whether their process will process rejects and how many rejects it will produce even before production begins. In addition, quantitative numbers on how much savings can be achieved by using FexQMS is also clearly illustrated to the participants using case studies.
We work together with our Indonesian Partner PT Kawan Lama Sejahtera to organize this seminar in PT Kawan Lama Sejahtera Bandung Branch.
In this seminar, we demonstrate to the participants how to use FexQMS, our online QC and SPC System, to prevent defects, minimize Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) so that they can be a Zero Defect Manufacturer

First of all, we want to thank our Indonesian Partner, PT Kawan Lama Sejahtera for the grand opening of their new office block in Surabaya.
In addition, we would like to thank PT Kawan Lama Sejahtera for successfully organizing the seminar above.
We would also like to thank manufacturers in Surabaya for taking their precious time to participate in the seminar as well as for precious feedbacks and comments.
In this seminar, my speaker, Mr. Ng Heng Chong spoke about:
1. How costly is the Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ)?
2. How to measure our Cost of Poor Quality using Process Capability Index, Cpk?
3. How to use Statistical Process Control (SPC) to improve Cpk and minimize Cost of Poor Quality?
4. How to make your product quality always consistent and predictable?
5. How to implement preventive quality control?
5. How to significantly reduce your Quality Inspection Cost?
6. How all your measurement instruments and gages can be easily linked to FexQMS?
In addition, an actual FexQMS system demonstration was also conducted using case studies from Precision Metal Fabrication , Food and Beverage and the Automotive Industries to illustrate to the participants how these manufacturers use FexQMS to significantly improve product quality and reduce Cost of Poor Quality and Inspection Cost.
At the end of the presentation, enthusiastic participants havealso asked many relevant questions on the application of such system in their operation, some of which we will discuss it in our coming blogs.

The above seminar has been successfully held on 20 October 2009, 1.00pm at Edsa Shangri-la Hotel, Manila, in conjunction with our partner’s, DKSH, yearly LabTec event. Participants from various industries, i.e., Food, Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Mining, Tiles, Metal, Semiconductors had attended the even that lasted for close to 2 hours.
The presentation brought to the audiences some proven solutions to effectively reduce manufacturing cost and increase product quality, thus maintain or even increase manufacturers’ profitability. It has addressed the following key opportunities for improvement using FexSoft Quality Management Software System (FexQMS):
a) how efficiency and effectiveness in quality control can be improved with an integrated quality system;
b) what is the most efficient and cost effective methods for integrating test equipment and collecting day-to-day quality data;
c) how FexQMS facilitates problem solving, audits, complains resolution and overall process improvements,
d) how to leverage on quality system for faster and easier HACCP and other food and drug regulatory certifications and maintenance.
The advantages of predictive-based quality control using Statistical Process Control (SPC) as compared to detective-based was also discussed. Finally, the audiences were shown, via software demo, on how easily existing quality data can be converted to do both detective and predictive based quality control using FexQMS.
A system demo conducted during the presentation has given the audiences an opportunity to see how actual industrial example from filling and packaging processes have successfully implementing the system to improve quality and reduce costs.
At the end of the presentation, enthusiastic audiences have posted very relevant questions on the application of such system in their operation, some of which we will discuss it in our coming blogs.
